Money
We recommend bringing Euros to Exchange in a local bank for Dobras (STD), the local currency. Bom Bom Island Resort accepts Visa and Master-card as a method of payment. There are no ATM machines on the Island.
Vaccination
Only if you have visited any other African country in the past 3 months, you must present on arrival a valid “International Vaccination Certificate” for Yellow Fever. Please ask your doctor for special advice.
Visa
You can apply for a Tourist Visa at the local Embassy or Consulate of São Tomé e Príncipe. In case there is no official representation in your country, you must apply online: www.smf.st/virtualvisa/ and wait for the permit to be sent by email. Only in this latter situation can the Visa be paid for on arrival, at São Tomé airport.
Responsibility
For the environmental conservation of Príncipe island, the regional Government requests a contribution of 5 € from each adult (above 18 years old) to be paid directly in the hotel.
